SWISSCAM in Switzerland

15/Oct/2026 - SWISSCAM -

Between August 31 and September 3, 2026, SWISSCAM’s Executive Director, Mariana Badra, traveled to Switzerland to take part in a series of meetings focused on knowledge exchange, international cooperation, and strengthening trade relations between Switzerland and Brazil.

From August 31 to September 2, Mariana attended the Chambers of Commerce Update Course 2026, hosted by Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) at its headquarters in Zurich. The course brought together representatives from Swiss chambers of commerce across 27 countries for three days of learning, collaboration, and shared insights. The agenda featured strategic updates from S-GE, best-practice sharing among the chambers, discussions on export promotion and investment attraction mandates, as well as training sessions on market intelligence, content creation, and artificial intelligence.

On September 3, Mariana also attended the Latin America Day 2026, an annual event organized by the Latin American Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland (LATCAM) in partnership with Switzerland Global Enterprise, held at the Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue in Rüschlikon. The gathering brought together business leaders, government officials, and key stakeholders to discuss Latin America’s economic outlook and explore trade and investment opportunities between the region and Switzerland.

A key highlight of the program was the participation of representatives from Swiss chambers of commerce across 14 Latin American countries – Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Each representative had the opportunity to present the services provided by their chamber, showcasing the market diversity, connections, and business opportunities available to companies looking to expand in the region.

The event also offered valuable networking opportunities for institutional and business representatives, helping further strengthen commercial ties between Switzerland and Latin America.

Participating in these events underscores the value of collaboration among Swiss chambers of commerce and close ties with organizations promoting international trade and business development. It was also a wonderful opportunity to build connections with colleagues worldwide and catch up with SWISSCAM members based in Switzerland.
