Between September 2 and 5, 2024, SWISSCAM was in Switzerland, represented by business consultant Denise Ortega, to participate in important meetings with various entities, associates in Switzerland and companies interested in doing business in Brazil.
The traditional Swiss Trade Promotion Seminar, which is organized by Switzerland Global Enterprise, offered a programme aimed at Swiss chambers of commerce from a wide range of countries, with an emphasis on Latin America, over three days of exchanges of experiences, an overview of the Swiss economy, cooperation with S-GE, as well as a visit to Beck Automation AG, a company specializing in the packaging and medical sectors, based in Dällikon, near Zurich, and operating globally, including representation in Brazil to serve local clients.
On September 5, Latin America Day, the annual event held by the Latin American Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland in cooperation with Switzerland Global Enterprise, took place at the Fernfachhochschule (FFHS) in Zurich. Representatives from 11 Swiss chambers in Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela) presented themselves and showed facts and figures from their respective markets.
The event also featured talks by representatives of the Swiss government on relations between Switzerland and Latin America, the economy, discussions on green hydrogen and the energy transition, social impact, as well as parallel sessions on certain Latin American markets.
