Recycling and Waste Management
The city of São Paulo hosted in September this year, the two most significant and important world congresses on public sanitation, solid waste, sustainability and environment around the world: the ISWA World Congress, annually promoted by the International Solid Waste Association, and the IPLA global Forum, organized by IPLA – International Partnership for Local Authorities, maintained by the United Nations – UN.
The two conferences occurred along with the RWM Brazil 2014, a trade fair focused on the management of solid waste and recycling, forming the most important global event on solid waste management this year.
Products and solutions for the following areas were exposed:
- Sorting machines and grinders, among others
- Mobile mechanical installations
- General street cleaning machines
- Waste to energy companies
- Manufacturers of waste bins
- Manufacturers of vehicles and accessories
- Anaerobic Digestion
- Land remediation
- Software Vendors
In this edition of RWM, the show featured the Swiss Pavilion with 60sqm of space for 10 Swiss companies or in any way connected to Switzerland. They are: Hitachi Zosen Inova, SID, ICE, Biogreen, MWJ Logística, Indústria Fox, Trigueiro Fontes Advogados, Recyclean, Polyimpex and Nespresso as a sponsor.
The Swiss Pavilion also had the offsetting of 35 tons of CO2, demonstrating its concern to maintain a more sustainable world.
